Potty Elmo

Why Potty Elmo Is The Best Potty Training Tool For Your Toddler

My friend is going through the potty training stage with her little boy and has discovered Pottty Elmo, designed specifically with potty training in mind, she was able to potty train her toddler at 26 months with the help of Potty Elmo.

Potty Elmo is like his namesake is about 11 inches tall and has lovely red fur but let me tell you …if you thought Elmo was funny, wait til to see Potty Elmo in action, you will be holding your sides with laughter.

We all know that potty training is one of those things parents just have to get through and Potty Elmo makes it a breeze. He comes with a sippy cup, a book, training pants and a potty

Elmo comes with his own sippy cup and when you give his hand a squeeze he asks for a drink, but this is just a pretend game he doesn’t actually have any liquids or water he just makes sounds instead, when he is finished his (pretend) drink Elmo will tell you that he needs to use the potty and once he is on the potty he starts to sing he even sings a song encouraging your toddler when he doesn’t make the potty on in time.

It’s more than likely that when you start to potty train your toddler he/she will already be familiar with Elmo and be ready to do as Elmo does and before you know it your toddler is potty trained.

As with most things not everything is perfect and one of the flaws being mentioned by some parents is that it can be quite hard to give Potty Elmo his drink mainly because you need to trigger a button that goes in his mouth with the sippy cup and this can be difficult for a child to manage. Having said that the general consensus is that this particular flaw is minor and the parents can help the child to do it.

What the customers are saying:

“Our little guy is almost 17 months, started potty training at 15 months. We have a BOON Potty Bench (love it). We have had the Elmo Potty Doll for almost a week now. Purchased it second hand.. We have the “POTTY TIME WITH ELMO” book with all the push buttons and sounds. I thought since he’s already associating Elmo with potty, the doll could only help? Well, let me tell you in our situation it was an INSTANT connection. He LOVES feeding elmo his water “pretend” from the sippy cup, he even knows how to get Elmo to make the “gulp gulp gulp” sounds.. he tries to make the same sound…too cute..

When we get up in the morning.. I take his diaper off and say.. let’s go Potty with Elmo..and he runs and climbs onto his potty and holds Elmo and feeds him and puts him on the potty. He loves it. Our main goal is to just have him sit on the potty a few times a day.. for 10 minutes…if he goes, that’s just a bonus…if not, no worries just want to start a routine..

He has 35 stickers in his potty book already..and this morning was the best..

Did our routine and sat on the potty but nothing.. put on his diaper..and let him play..about 5 minutes later he went to the potty and tried to sit on it with his diaper on then got up to get Elmo..and I heard the grunt… got him on in time and he pooped & pee’d ON THE POTTY!!!!

Please remember:
- this is just a tool, one of many for potty training.
- Elmo doesn’t actually drink any water or go pee, it’s just pretend with some sound effects, but I like that he doesn’t always go.. “elmo will try again later..”

We love it.. it’s working well for us so far..
I really don’t know if we would spend almost $100 dollars on it though, but if money isn’t an issue, I really believe there is great value in this product.”
